Most parents can hear their baby’s heartbeat during pregnancy, around 6–7 weeks, using ultrasound technology. At this stage, the baby’s developing heart is beating strongly enough to be detected during a pregnancy ultrasound. As the baby grows, the heartbeat becomes clearer and easier to hear during prenatal scans.
