This elective pregnancy ultrasound session is designed to give families insights into their baby’s fetal age. It’s an ideal first step before planning other ultrasound services or simply for reassurance in the early stages of pregnancy.

Our Fetal Age Assessment uses advanced 2D ultrasound technology to measure your baby’s crown-rump length (CRL) — the most accurate indicator of gestational age in early pregnancy. This service is especially helpful if:

• You have an irregular menstrual cycle
• You’re unsure of your last period date
• You haven’t had an pregnancy dating scan
• You’re curious to track baby’s development before your anatomy scan

This session is very similar to what’s known medically as a pregnancy dating ultrasound. While not diagnostic, it follows the same principles: measuring the baby to estimate gestational age and due date. It offers families clarity on how far along they are, especially when medical ultrasounds have yet to be scheduled or completed.

While this session does not replace a diagnostic ultrasound ordered by your healthcare provider, it offers valuable information about how far along you may be and helps you feel more connected with your growing baby.

• Session Duration: Approximately 10–15 minutes
• Technology Used: 2D ultrasound
• Gestational Range: Best performed between 7–14 weeks
• Inclusions:
  • Measurement of the baby’s size and estimated fetal age
  • Opportunity to view your baby’s first movements, depending on the stage of pregnancy

We recommend booking the Fetal Age Assessment anytime between 7 to 14 weeks of pregnancy. Earlier sessions (around 7–12 weeks) may require a full bladder to ensure better image clarity.
